Redag Crop Protection Secures Seven-Figure Investment for Agrochemical Development
Redag Crop Protection, the agrochemical arm of Redx Pharma, has demerged from its parent company and secured a seven-figure investment from Acceleris Capital, North West Fund for Venture Capital, Enterprise Ventures, existing Redx shareholders, and new private investors
The new company will operate from laboratories in Alderley Park, Cheshire, and will create 20 scientific research posts in its first three years of operation
Redag will focus on developing products for the global agrochemical market, including new fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and nematicides
They aim to achieve revenues by entering into licensing and development agreements with agrochemicals companies for their promising compounds.
ProblemAgriculture
"The global food supply is threatened by pests and diseases. Existing crop protection products are not always effective, and new solutions are needed."
Solution
"Redag Crop Protection uses its Redox Switch™ platform to adapt existing crop protection products to create new intellectual property. This allows them to develop novel fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and nematicides that are more effective against pests and diseases."
