Cambridge Communication Systems Secures £4.5 Million for Small-Cell Backhaul Technology
Cambridge Communication Systems (CCS), a UK-based provider of microwave small-cell backhaul systems, has raised £4.5 million in funding
The round was led by Robert Sansom, Chairman of CCS and founder of Cambridge Angels, with participation from several other investors including David Cleevely, Mark Richer, Cambridge Angels, Etagra Group, the Cambridge Capital Group and Imperial Innovations
CCS plans to use the capital to accelerate the commercial deployment of its solution
The company intends to deploy a number of commercial pilot networks in 2013 as a precursor to wider deployment in 2014/15.
