Fusion Processing Secures £6.6 Million for Zero-Emission Autonomous HGV
Fusion Processing, a UK-based startup specializing in autonomous vehicles, has secured £6.6 million in funding to develop a world-first, zero-emission autonomous heavy goods vehicle (HGV) for the UK market
The project, called Hub2Hub, is being funded by CCAV (Center for Connected Autonomous Vehicles) and will involve road trials in 2024 with major UK retailer ASDA
The consortium, led by HVS, Fusion Processing, and ASDA, will build two prototypes, one with a driver's cab and one with an aerodynamic fairing, both using Fusion Processing's Automated Drive System, CAVStar
The project aims to accelerate the adoption of autonomous technology in the transportation and logistics sector, leading to increased efficiency, safety, and cost savings.
