Zinc Closes £28 Million Fund to Build Tech Companies Tackling Societal Issues
Zinc, a London-based venture builder focused on creating tech companies to tackle societal issues, has closed its first fund at £28 million ($34 million)
The fund was backed by the British Business Bank, Big Society Capital, Isomer, Molten Ventures, Dunhill Medical Trust, family offices, Anthemis Group, and various European tech entrepreneurs and early-stage investors
Zinc has backed over 200 entrepreneurs and built over 60 ventures since its founding in 2017, focusing on areas like improving mental health, protecting the environment, and assisting people affected by automation.
