RFA UK Secures £3.5 Million for Satellite Launch from Shetland Islands
RFA UK, a Scottish satellite launch company, has received £3.5 million in funding from the UK Space Agency
The investment will support the company's efforts to develop and operate launch infrastructure at SaxaVord Spaceport in the Shetland Islands
The goal is to launch the company's RFA ONE launch vehicle, a three-stage rocket capable of deploying up to 1,300 kg to a 500 km polar orbit, in Q2 2024
The project is expected to create around 90 skilled jobs in the region.
