Compact Syngas Solutions Receives £4 Million for CO2 Capture Technology
Compact Syngas Solutions (CSS), a Wales-based company specializing in carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology, has secured £4 million in funding from the UK government
The funding will be used to develop a new CCS technology that can capture CO2 emissions from the production of clean fuels
CSS's technology utilizes membrane separation to isolate CO2 from other gases during clean fuel production, reducing the carbon footprint of hydrogen production
The captured CO2 is then stored underground
The funding is part of the UK government's Net Zero Technology Innovation (NTTI) competition, which aims to foster the growth of innovative technologies that will help the country reach its target of net zero emissions by 2050.
