Cycell Secures £1 Million Funding to Expand Mobile Operations

Cycell, a London-based mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), has secured £1 million in funding

The round was led by London Business Angels, who invested £160,000

Cycell plans to use the capital for stock acquisition and to transition from its trial phase to commercial scale operations

The company operates its own brand of Ownfone handsets, a mini, light, low-cost cloud phone, and offers a full range of specialist white label handsets and airtime contracts

Cycell has already launched its mobile service through Age UK, its first major distribution partner.
