Kinopto Raises £35k in Equity Crowdfunding

Kinopto, a cinema technology startup based in Bromley, London, has raised £35,000 in equity crowdfunding via Crowdcube. The company, founded by Danny Jeremiah and Thomas Billings, plans to launch a new playback server solution to the film exhibition market in 2012. The funding will be used to move from the prototype stage to a fully functioning system. Kinopto also plans to raise a £30,000 second round in late 2012 and is applying for a Government R&D grant.
