Quit Genius Raises $11M to Expand Digital Addiction Therapies
Quit Genius, a personalized digital therapeutic program for addictions, has raised $11 million in Series A funding led by Octopus Ventures with participation from Y Combinator, Startup Health, and Triple Point Ventures
The company plans to expand its therapeutic programs beyond cigarette and vaping addiction to include alcohol and substance abuse.
ProblemHealthcare
"Quit Genius is tackling the problem of preventable deaths caused by smoking, alcohol and substance abuse. Traditional healthcare models are ineffective and expensive, with a focus on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of addiction. This leads to a cycle of relapse and a lack of long-term solutions."
Solution
"Quit Genius offers a personalized digital therapeutic program that combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), expert coaching, a connected breath sensor, and access to proven medication. This approach has been shown to be more effective than traditional methods, leading to higher quit rates and improved outcomes for users. Quit Genius is also working to expand its programs to address other forms of addiction, such as alcohol and substance abuse."
