Mission Zero Technologies Raises £21.8 Million to Scale Carbon Capture Technology
London-based carbon capture startup Mission Zero Technologies has raised £21.8 million in a Series A funding round
The round was led by 2150 and included participation from World Fund, Fortescue, Siemens Financial Services, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a clean energy investment vehicle founded by Bill Gates
Mission Zero Technologies will use the funding to scale its electrochemical direct air capture (DAC) technology, which removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
ProblemRenewable Energy
"Removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at scale to prevent further global temperature rises is a significant challenge."
Solution
"Mission Zero Technologies offers a cost-effective and highly scalable electrochemical direct air capture (DAC) technology that can remove up to 250 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year from the atmosphere."
