Sano Genetics Secures £2.5M to Advance Personalized Medicine Research
Cambridge-based startup Sano Genetics has raised £2.5 million in a seed funding round led by Episode1 Ventures, with participation from Cambridge Enterprise, Seedcamp, January Venture, and angel investors
The funding will be used to accelerate research into Long Covid, further develop their tech platform, and provide free at-home DNA testing kits
Sano Genetics partners with Genomics England to develop software for national-scale precision medicine initiatives.
ProblemHealthcare
"Clinical trials have a high failure rate and participants have a poor experience. This is due to a lack of access to diverse and representative patient populations."
Solution
"Sano Genetics provides a digital platform and at-home genetic testing capabilities that empower greater participation in clinical trials. The platform gives users full control and transparency over their data, and the at-home testing kits make it easier for people to participate in research."
