axial3D Secures €2.7 Million to Advance 3D Printing in Healthcare
Belfast-based medical 3D printing startup axial3D has raised €2.7 million in a funding round led by London-based Imprimatur Capital Fund Management
The funding will be used to expand the company's team, support its expansion into the US market, and grow its machine learning capabilities
axial3D provides patient-specific 3D printed medical models generated from patient CT, MRI, and PET data, aiming to enhance the efficiency of surgical intervention.
ProblemHealthcare
"Hospitals and healthcare institutions need to use 3D printing to create patient-specific models for surgery, but it's expensive and time-consuming to set up and maintain a 3D printing lab."
Solution
"axial3D provides a cloud-based platform that allows hospitals to access 3D printing services on demand, without the need to invest in expensive equipment or hire specialized staff. This makes 3D printing more accessible and affordable for healthcare institutions."
