CattleEye Secures £1.8M Seed Funding to Advance AI-Powered Livestock Monitoring
CattleEye, a Belfast-based startup, has raised £1.8 million in a seed funding round to commercialize its AI-powered livestock monitoring platform
The technology aims to improve animal welfare and reduce carbon emissions in dairy farming
Led by Techstart Ventures, the round also saw participation from Seventure Partners and Turntide Technologies
CattleEye's platform uses machine vision and AI to detect lameness and other health issues in cows, providing valuable insights to farmers.
ProblemAgriculture
"Dairy farmers are struggling with lameness in cows, which is a major welfare issue and impacts productivity. Current methods for detecting lameness are often unreliable and time-consuming."
Solution
"CattleEye uses AI-powered video analytics to automatically detect lameness in cows, providing farmers with real-time insights to improve animal welfare and reduce productivity losses. This technology is hardware-independent, meaning it doesn't require any devices to be attached to the cows."
