"Short-haul flights are a major contributor to carbon emissions, and traditional aircraft are noisy and polluting. This makes them unsuitable for use in urban areas, where they can cause noise and air pollution problems."

      Solution

"Vertical Aerospace is developing an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that is designed to be quieter, cleaner, and more efficient than traditional aircraft. The VA-X4 is expected to achieve the equivalent safety standard of a passenger jet by 2024, and will be able to fly up to 100 miles on a single charge. This will allow for the development of new urban air mobility (UAM) networks that can connect cities and reduce reliance on short-haul flights."
